BE COMFORTABLE

Once you are comfortable and confident, you can achieve anything in your pole dancing class. Being comfortable means putting on nice, comfortable workout gear. Most pole dancers wear shorts since it makes them free and comfortable. It also allows their skin to have a better grip on the pole. You can put on shorts too if you want, but if you know you're going to be uncomfortable in shorts, you can wear pants or gym tights, as long as they make you free and comfortable.

Also ensure that you do not bring your jewelry to your pole dance lessons, most especially rings. Reason is because they can either scratch you or scratch the pole and none of these two are great.

You should also make sure that you have no lotion on your skin or hands when coming for your pole dancing lessons as they will make you slip. A water bottle and a work out towel to clean your sweat are also essential.
